Karen was raised in Ft Collins and received her Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. After working at various high schools and an outpatient physical therapy clinic as a Certified Athletic Trainer in Greeley and Loveland, Karen returned to school and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver in 2009. Karen practiced in a private, outpatient Sports Medicine clinic for 6 years prior to joining Rebound Sports & Physical Therapy where she treated many conditions including back and neck pain, headaches, athletic injuries, and pre- and post-operative conditions.

Karen utilizes many Postural Restoration Institute™ techniques to treat patients of all ages and activity levels to help them attain their movement goals and return them to their desired daily and athletic activities. Karen is Level 1 certified in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and enjoys utilizing these techniques to assist in the overall care of her patients. In addition to her physical therapy training and experience and her many years as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Karen recognizes the importance of returning individuals to their desired sport and activity as soon as possible.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking, camping, fishing, and snowshoeing with her husband, 2 beautiful and crazy daughters and their very energetic dog.

Mission Statement-

I feel that in order for a patient to achieve maximum improvement with physical therapy, a good understanding of what is causing the problem is needed. My goal is to not only educate each patient, but make sure that there is good understanding of what has caused the problem and why/how we are going to work together to help resume all previous and desired activities.
