Marissa “Mac” is a results-driven NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach with a passion for helping athletes and high-achievers reach their peak performance. She believes in empowering clients to train with a purpose to be better.
Marissa graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science (fitness & performance) and minor in Physical Education. While at GCSU, Marissa served as the Co-Captain of the Women’s Lacrosse Team (2 years) and worked beside the GCSU Cross Country team as part of the Bobcat Sports Performance Strength and Conditioning Team (2 years).
After graduating, Marissa moved to Colorado and began coaching Athletic Performance classes at Ironside Athletics for athletes of all ages. Eventually specializing in sport-specific training for high school basketball athletes aspiring to play at the next level. Marissa has helped many of her clients’ abilities to compete at the collegiate level.
Marissa credits her diverse clientele of driven individuals seeking a healthier life, athletes of all ages and stages, and adults managing intellectual disabilities with shaping her as a coach who emphasizes purposeful, goal-oriented training that develops functional movement, exercise technique, and sport-specific skills for the real-world, ensuring clients not only improve performance but also sustain long-term health and mobility.
Outside of the clinic, Mac enjoys exploring CO with her husband, Brad and their dog, “Gnarly” and many activities including running, training for HYROX, skateboarding and snowboarding.
